Daniel Santiago-Gonzalez | Fix | Firefox already running | Open a terminal, run firefox -P, and either delete the user profile that won't run or to just create another
profile and set that as your default one.

Daniel Santiago-Gonzalez | Detectors | Decay curve in Si deflector | Decay curve in Si deflector
Tuned A=150 Q=2+ beam with Rodney onto "Si deflector", which uses a Canberra 2003BT preamplifier (+90V, 0.02 uA)
Once equilibrium was reached the rate meter showed ~ 9.5 kHz with about 200 Hz with no beam.
I starterd the data aquisition system and removed the detector from the beam path.
Data from the beta decays was saved using the CAEN desktop digitizer.
Data was sorted using a ROOT script I wrote (Decay.C)
Attachment 1, shows the experimental decay curve which was fit (from 4 to 60 sec) to an exponential of the form exp(x0+m*x).
The resulting parameter values are x0 = 6.16 and m=-7.36e-2. This corresponds to a half-life of 9.4 sec.
